A diffuse scene unfolds in a compressed, almost airless space where distances collapse. The three heads of the title inhabit it at incompatible scales: a giant sculptural head dominates the background, a Greek sculpture stands before it and, at its feet, a Mario Bros head emerges. Monument, canon and toy share the same plane, none of them managing to claim the centre.
The blur does the rest: the references get lost, the silhouettes bleed into one another, and the image hangs at that point where something is recognised but cannot be named. What the painting records is not the objects but their forced coexistence: the pressure of a space where images of different origins and standing are compressed into a single experience.
