A second variation on the model behind Fever dream (spinario): the fragmented body of the classical sculpture combined with a distorted head of Bart Simpson. Where the first version evoked catalogue photography and old art books, the approach here is different. A blue patina covers the figure entirely, as if bronze had oxidised the academic canon and the television cartoon alike.
Under that uniform blue, both references receive the same material treatment and lose their rank: no longer original or copy, relic or commodity, only a continuous surface in which the sources dissolve. The patina works like the false time of an imaginary museum, levelling everything it touches.
