This painting connects three different works. On one hand, the title alludes to the anti-poem “Voy y Vuelvo” by the Chilean poet Nicanor Parra. The character’s pose comes from the reappropriation of a sculpture by Ron Mueck, and finally, with the inclusion of Christ’s face from Diego Velazquez’s Crucifixion, it turns the crucifixion pose into an image of resting in a swimming pool.
