{"id":14122,"date":"2026-03-04T14:18:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T18:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nelsonhernandez.cl\/exposiciones\/can-art-fair\/"},"modified":"2026-03-29T15:18:19","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T19:18:19","slug":"can-art-fair","status":"publish","type":"exposiciones","link":"https:\/\/nelsonhernandez.cl\/en\/exposiciones\/can-art-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"CAN Art Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Press Release Isabel Croxatto Galer\u00eda CAN Art Fair Madrid 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of its 10th anniversary \u2014 now <strong>CAN Art Fair<\/strong>, formerly UVNT \u2014 the fair consolidates itself as a platform for cultural reflection and projection. <strong>Isabel Croxatto Galer\u00eda<\/strong> returns for its third consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to the international projection of Latin American contemporary art.<\/p>\n<p>In the FOCO LATAM section, curated by Cristian Viveros-Faun\u00e9, the gallery presents a duo by <strong>Carolina Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong> and <strong>Nelson Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> under the framework of New Surrealisms. As the curator states: \u201cNew Surrealisms is not a revival, but a critical and contemporary rereading of that impulse which sought to free the image from the limits of representation and open art to the flows of the unconscious, the dreamlike, and the symbolic.\u201d He further notes: \u201cAmid technological acceleration and the collapse of meaning, art once again becomes a field of resistance, where the irrational is no longer a deviation but a path toward emotional and existential truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Within this context, <em>Convertida en Flor<\/em> and <em>Fever Dreams<\/em> activate painting as a space where the visible fractures and the invisible take form. Mu\u00f1oz explores bodily transformation and vegetal fusion as psychic territory shaped by memory and vulnerability.
